April is the hottest month, with average temperatures in the high 30s. December is the coldest but still sees long hours of sunshine and temperatures in the low 30s. Suncream is essential. The official currency in Bangkok is Thai Baht (฿)
It is recommended to purchase baht before travelling to Thailand, as in several cases you often must order baht into local post offices/shops.
Thailand is generally cash-based, with there being ATMs available throughout the city, particularly in tourist areas and shopping centres. However, you need to consider the charges which are common with international withdrawals. Reliable money exchanges in Thailand are often found in the airports.
Bank cards are becoming increasingly common, especially in tourist areas; however, we would recommend estimating your expenses and carrying an appropriate amount of cash during your business trip to Bangkok.
