2025 marks SilverDoor's 25th anniversary. To celebrate 25 years of SilverDoor, we reflect on the wonderful people and the many magical moments that have made us who we are today. Founded in 2000 by husband and wife, Marcus and Angie Angell, SilverDoor has since become a globally-renowned brand synonymous with trust, warmth, and innovation.
For our silver anniversary, join us on a walk down memory lane – from humble beginnings to huge successes and everything in between. Lots of things have changed but the fundamentals are always the same: putting people first and leading with the same vision to provide quality accommodation with honesty, integrity and care.

2000
Determined to do things differently, Marcus Angell set the foundation for a game-changing business. With his soon-to-be wife, Angie, by his side, this was the start of an incredible journey…________________________________________________________________
2002
What started as a two-person operation in Chiswick, West London, soon became a team of six, driven by a simple mission: to provide business travellers with exceptional service.

2005
Marcus wanted to create a brand that could be recognised globally, sound corporate, and evoke the feeling of entering a home or a safe environment. They rebranded to SilverDoor; as soon as Marcus and Angie saw the name, they knew it was 'the one'.

2007
Our team moved into a new home at Dukes Gate, Chiswick. Within just two years, our team had grown so rapidly that we knocked through to the neighbouring unit…
That same year, we launched The SilverDoor Academy – our placement programme which has been going for 18 uninterrupted years!

2010
Our Partner Relationships department was established to ensure our ever-growing partner portfolio could thrive. What began as a small initiative has since grown into a multinational team, strengthening our partnerships across the globe.

2013
We hosted our first-ever industry event for our property partners in a table tennis bar in West London. It was the start of a successful events programme which we would go on to host by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Marina Bay waterfront in Singapore, and inside London’s iconic Gherkin. As our partner network grew, so did the wow factor of our event locations.

2014
Since 2014, we've been bringing our global teams
together for a company-wide conference every other year. We kicked off
this tradition in Malaga and have since hosted conferences in Majorca
and Portugal, referring to it as SilverTour!

2016
A major milestone: we launched our APAC headquarters in Singapore, bringing us closer to Asia-Pacific clients and providing tailored accommodation solutions with local expertise.

2018
Innovation took centre stage:
• Clients can now manage and customise their serviced apartment programme online via our Online Booking Tool.
• We opened our cutting-edge technology hub in Hyderabad, India, ensuring we continued to deliver industry-leading tech solutions
• In Singapore, we hosted our first property partner networking event
We brought the serviced apartment sector together:
• We hosted our first-ever annual Partner Engagement Day, bringing property partners and corporate clients together for discussions on key industry topics.
• We launched our Americas Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, to better support our clients across the US and Latin America
• We acquired our largest competitor to put an abundance of serviced apartment expertise under one roof
• We opened our state-of-the-art office in Lancaster, UK to accommodate our growing team
• We celebrated 20 years in the industry, with over 200,000 apartments across over 101 countries!
