Wilmington is a city located in the state of Delaware in the United States of America. This city is the county seat of New Castle County. Wilmington has a population of 71,106, as of 2017, making it the most populated city in the state of Delaware. The main language spoken in Delaware is English, however, 10% of the population speak Spanish. Wilmington is situated at the confluence of the Brandywine River and the Christina River where it flows together and become the Delaware River.  Wilmington is located 115 miles southwest of New York City, 30 miles southwest of Philadelphia and 110 miles northeast of Washington.
