All you need to know about Maidstone

Maidstone is the largest town in Kent in southeastern England. The city is situated 32 miles southeast of London, with the River Medway flowing through the centre of the town, linking to the Thames Estuary. Historically, Maidstone being the agricultural centre of Kent, was known as the Garden of England, with the River Medway playing a critical role in carrying much of the town’s trade. Towards the end of the 20th century, the local economy shifted away from heavy industry to service based.
