All you need to know about Hemel Hempstead

Hemel Hempstead is a town in Hertfordshire, England, and has a population of around 89,000. It is part of the district of Dacorum and the Hemel Hempstead constituency. Surrounding the city is the market town of St Albans, farmland and woodland, the beginnings of the Greater London conurbation and Watford. Hemel Hempstead developed from a charming old town, with Tudor and Georgian cottages, into a new town with a retail and leisure complex. The city has a major input into the industrial and business areas of Hertfordshire with famous companies including Kodak and Dixons having their headquarters located in the town centre. The main railway station, Hemel Hempstead, runs frequent services to the Midlands and London Euston with an additional service running to South Croydon. The M1 is located east of the city and the M25 is just a few miles south.
