All you need to know about Cartagena

A major port founded in the mid 1500's Cartagena is located between the Magdalena and Sinu Rivers, providing major trade links between different countries. A major trading port, this city was named after Cartagena in Spain after building trade links with Spanish traders. Now home to an array of histrionic sites and historical exhibitions, Cartagena is a popular tourist hub with a tropical climate and white-sand beaches. 

Nowadays Cartagena is a powerhouse for Latin America, transforming the Colombian economy. A UNESCO heritage site, this city is also a solid and developing economy, expanding the country's play in the global markets. Primarily, tourism accounts for most of the economic drive within Cartagena, with many hotels situated in the city.
