SilverDoor is an ethical, responsible and conscientious company with people at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to deliver a sustainable and inclusive future for everyone via a robust and innovative ESG strategy.
We're working on a report. Watch this space...
This
statement, applicable to all SilverDoor offices worldwide, outlines our
environmental strategy and our commitment to delivering it responsibly.
As the largest booker of corporate extended stay apartments, we have the
profile, resources, and influence to drive change, and we acknowledge our
responsibility to lead by example. We are committed to minimising our
environmental impact and supporting initiatives that advance global
sustainability.
SilverDoor supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our journey aligns
with these global principles, focusing on tangible, measurable and achievable
changes across our own operations, and those of our business partners. We are
committed to full compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Where appropriate, we strive to exceed these requirements by implementing and
delivering initiatives and measures which drive continuous improvement in our
sustainability performance, whilst also supporting our business partners in
their own steps towards building a more sustainable future.
As we work to continuously enhance our environmental practices, we are
committed to allocating the necessary resources to achieve this goal. Our
environmental strategy focuses on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and
waste across our value chain, minimising our operational impact on biodiversity
and ecosystems, raising awareness among employees, partners, and industry
stakeholders about the environmental footprint of the serviced apartment sector
and its potential to drive positive change in business travel.
As per our Science Based Target, we commit to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, and to measure and reduce our Scope 3 emissions.
We are committed to developing and enhancing our capabilities for measuring, calculating and reporting emissions. Our goal is to improve the accuracy and breadth of our data annually, ensuring it encompasses the full scope of our upstream Scope 3 emissions.
We are committed to delivering an annual ESG report, providing updates, insight and evidence of our progress towards achieving our environmental goals and objectives. We aim to release our first report in 2026.

SilverDoor has set science based targets to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 42 % by 2030 from a 2022 base year. It also commits to expanding the accuracy and breadth of upstream Scope 3 emissions measurement and reporting.
The SilverDoor Carbon Calculator is a sustainability tool that estimates CO₂ emissions per night for serviced apartment stays. It uses building specific data to help corporate clients and partners monitor and compare the carbon footprint of accommodation choices, supporting sustainability reporting and policy targets.
SilverDoor minimises environmental impact by implementing measures to reduce emissions and waste, complying with environmental regulations, using renewable energy sources where possible, phasing out petrol powered fleet vehicles, and improving sustainability data reporting across corporate and partner operations.
SilverDoor supports clients by providing carbon emissions data, tools like the Carbon Calculator, and insights that inform sustainable accommodation choices. These resources help businesses plan, benchmark, and report on travel emissions, including Scope 3 reporting, alongside cost and operational considerations.
Yes. SilverDoor has submitted environmental performance data to recognised reporting frameworks including the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and EcoVadis as part of its commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.
Property partners contribute by sharing environmental data, adopting energy efficient practices, and contributing building-level emissions data to the SilverDoor Carbon Calculator. SilverDoor encourages partners to improve recycling, reduce waste and energy use, and demonstrate sustainability credentials that align with corporate travel requirements.
Serviced apartments are generally more sustainable than traditional hotels because they enable reduced energy intensive services, less frequent housekeeping, and independent living options that empower guests to lower their own carbon footprints during extended stays.
Yes. SilverDoor is committed to releasing annual ESG reports that detail progress toward emissions targets and broader sustainability goals, with the first report planned for release in 2026.
