What is the SilverDoor Academy?

The SilverDoor Academy is our 12-month placement scheme for students on sandwich degrees. You’ll receive full training, mentoring and we provide accommodation for the duration of your placement with us.

What is the start and end date for the placement academy?

This is a 12-month placement scheme running from July to July.

Who can apply to the SilverDoor Academy?

The SilverDoor Placement Academy is only open to undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study. We have plenty of opportunities for postgraduates and beyond on our Careers page.

Am I allowed to apply for more than one placement position at SilverDoor?

Yes, however depending on the number of applications you may be assigned a position.

What is the office dress code?

The office dress code is smart/casual.

Is this a remote or office-based placement scheme?

This is an office-based role.

What activities does SilverDoor do outside of work?

SilverDoor runs a variety of extracurricular activities, with after-work football, yoga, and netball and so much more!

Do I have to organise accommodation for my placement year?

No, SilverDoor organises all accommodation making it a hassle-free experience.

Are there any placement roles in offices abroad / multi-language speakers?

No, currently The SilverDoor Academy only operates in the United Kingdom. However, we may in the future expand the programme.

Do you offer sponsorship visas for overseas students?

Unfortunately, SilverDoor is unable to provide sponsorship visas.

Which universities have previous SilverDoor placements attended?

Our placement students come from a range of universities such as University of Leeds, Lancaster University, University of Liverpool, Bournemouth University, Loughborough University and many more!
