Responsibilities

·        Design, develop, and deliver high-complexity features across both backend (PHP) and frontend (React or Vue.js) within a modular architecture.

·        Diagnose and resolve existing bugs in the codebase in a timely and efficient manner.

·        Write comprehensive unit tests (PHPUnit) to validate functionality and maintain code reliability.

·        Refactor and optimise existing code to improve performance, maintainability, and security.

·        Collaborate effectively with international stakeholders, product managers, and fellow developers.

·        Produce clean, secure, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.

Technical Skills

·        Expert-level PHP – deep understanding of the language, performance considerations, and security best practices.

·        Proficiency in React.js or Vue.js – ability to build responsive, component-driven frontend interfaces.

·        Strong JavaScript knowledge, including modern ES6+ standards.

·        Solid experience with an MVC or PHP framework (e.g. Laravel, Symfony).

·        Good working knowledge of Git and collaborative version control workflows.

·        Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration.

Experience

·        Minimum 10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on PHP-based development.

·        Demonstrated experience working on large-scale PHP projects that integrate with external systems or third-party APIs.

·        Prior experience working with or for international companies or clients (UK, US, Europe, etc.) is essential.

·        Excellent written and verbal English communication skills – this is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
