SilverDoor’s Insights & Social Event in Singapore: Driving Growth and Connection Across APAC
2nd June 2025

We recently hosted an Insights and Social event in Singapore, bringing together industry experts, partners, and clients to share market updates, regional trends, and forward-looking perspectives on the corporate housing sector across APAC and beyond… Alongside announcing the winners of our infamous Partner Awards!

Stuart Winstone, Group CEO, kicked off the day with a warm welcome and a comment on SilverDoor’s recent expansion.

“The launch of SilverDoor - Gulf is a great addition for us. With trade channels opening further, we are well positioned to support growing demand in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar, using our Singapore office as a strategic hub to drive regional growth.”

Sophie Brinsley, Executive Vice President – APAC, led a comprehensive Market Pulse session, highlighting key regional trends and developments, commenting: “Tokyo and Sydney continue to be strongholds for corporate stays, with steady demand and long average lengths of stay. What’s particularly interesting is the rising activity we’re seeing in Taiwan - especially Taipei, and also in tertiary cities like Tainan and Hsinchu, which speaks to a diversification of demand across APAC.”

Taichung (Taiwan) stood out as a hotspot for extended stays, averaging an impressive 122 nights per reservation.

During the Q&A segment, an audience member asked, “What is the team's forecast for the upcoming relocation season? Any potential shift in trends given the current changes to the tariffs introduced by the Trump Administration?”

Sophie responded: “Long lead times provide stability. Current relocations remain largely unaffected, as they were planned before the recent tariff changes. Shifting supply chains are a key factor. Many companies are expanding operations in India and Vietnam, reflecting broader supply chain diversification accelerated by US tariffs. Mobility is shifting from traditional West-to-East moves toward more regional relocations within APAC, with India and Southeast Asia showing significant growth.”

Cecilia Cai (Senior Partner Account Manager) shares insights from recent partner visits across India, she noted that clients are increasingly focused on the quality and consistency of their accommodation programmes, which go beyond simply securing the lowest rates.

There is a growing emphasis on meeting corporate standards and policies around global programme consistency and diversity, and inclusion training. Cecilia explained: “Clients prioritise global programme consistency, diversity and inclusion training, and the overall lifestyle fit of properties more than ever.”

She went on to share a real-life case study that complements this trend, showing how leading clients are beginning to incorporate sustainable booking choices into their travel programmes, making informed decisions with the help of the SilverDoor Carbon Calculator.
